Thunder I-T & Thunder I

Thunder I-T wiring

This is a diagram of a 1984 Thunder I-T

Notes

  • The volume and tone pots are 500K log
  • The tone capacitors are 0.022 microfarad Mylar
  • The coil tap switch is a DPDT mini toggle switch

1– The ground/shield wires from both humbuckers and the pickup selector switch are soldered to the body of the first tone pot
2– There is no ground wire to the second tone pot – it doesn’t need one as all the pots are mounted on a metal plate (If one is grounded they all are)
3 -For clarity all white wires are shown as yellow
4 -Note these two wires are the black (‘Hot’) wires from the pickups, they are not connected to the earth/shield wires
